The dynamic landscape of crypto gaming presents a constant stream of updates, making it challenging to stay informed. From significant game launches and engaging experiments to fluctuations in token values and the occasional downfall of projects, the pace of news is relentless. For those looking to keep up, Decrypt’s GG offers a comprehensive weekly roundup that highlights the most important events as well as smaller news snippets from the week.

Key Developments

B3, a layer-3 gaming protocol developed by former Coinbase employees on Ethereum’s Base network, has made headlines by acquiring Andromeda Insights, a gaming PC manufacturer. This strategic move allows B3 to oversee the complete gaming ecosystem, spanning from the protocol and games to hardware production. The collaboration is set to enhance Andromeda’s resources as well.

The first product resulting from this partnership is the B3PC, a gaming computer designed with crypto enthusiasts in mind. It features advanced security measures, including a unique self-destruct storage drive that can be erased through secure digital deletion or physical destruction using a high-voltage shock. In addition, the B3PC comes equipped with a hardware wallet, encryption, support for on-chain gaming, and offline transaction capabilities. Daryl Xu, co-founder of B3, noted that the growing demands of high-performance gaming necessitate real-time rendering and AI integration, aligning the hardware with the future of crypto and AI gaming. Preorders for the B3PC are available with a $200 deposit, and delivery is anticipated in the first quarter of 2026. B3’s protocol currently supports over 80 games and launched its native token earlier this year.

Avalanche Battle Pass Launch

Avalanche has introduced a free-to-mint NFT known as the Avalanche Battle Pass, aiming to unify its gaming community and incentivize participation across multiple games. Developed by Ava Labs and Playfull, this NFT can be obtained from the Magic Eden marketplace and follows a similar concept to the “battle pass” model popularized by games like Fortnite. Notably, Solana also released a comparable Game Pass earlier this year.

Players can mint the NFT, register it on the Playfull website, and earn various rewards such as in-game NFTs and AVAX tokens by engaging with partner games. The pass is compatible with over a dozen titles, including Off the Grid, MapleStory N, Spellborne, and DeFi Kingdoms. Parker Heath, the Gaming Lead at Ava Labs, described the Battle Pass as an “on-chain watering hole” designed to connect diverse gaming communities across Avalanche’s Layer 1 chains. Despite recent challenges facing the blockchain gaming sector, Heath pointed out that user engagement remains strong, with Off the Grid attracting over 300,000 daily players and MapleStory N reaching 770,000 users since its launch in May.

Other Notable Updates

In case you missed it, the Pudgy Penguins game, Pengu Clash, made its debut on Telegram last week. Additionally, the Avalanche game Forgotten Playland integrated in-game NFT support as part of its most significant update to date.

In other news, the much-anticipated Final Season Chapter 6 of SYMBIOGENESIS has commenced, promising to provide a conclusion to its narrative. Furthermore, a strategic partnership has been established with Cross The Ages, a transmedia ecosystem that blends fantasy and science fiction with blockchain technology, supporting their upcoming free-to-play title, Arise. Lastly, The Machines Arena has teased an upcoming major update with a preview trailer, signaling an exciting new chapter for the game.
